According to Adidas: Impossible is nothing
Therefore, it is impossible for anything to be impossible

Since null set is a member of every set, it can be considered that nothing is a part of everything and also anything. Therefore, according to adidas' statement, there exists one 'anything' that is impossible. Hence your paradox is erroneous.

DeleteYour assumption is pretty messed up.
DeleteAccording to your assumption nothing is a part of everything. Also, nothing is impossible as given. Thus, everything is impossible. This is because everything has an impossible element - nothing, and I think it is safe to assume that an impossible element + infinitely many possible elements = impossible.
Thus, according to your statement - everything is impossible. This will break the universe leading to the biggest paradox ever. For example, it is impossible for the previous statement to be true and it is impossible for the previous statement to be false. It is also impossible for P not equal to be NP (Yeah you'll even be able to solve Millennium problems and win a million dollars)

I believe it is a widely held notion that nothing is a part of everything. This is just on of the resources I found - http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-universal-truth/nature-of-nothing.html.
ReplyDeleteAdding an empty set to a set doesn't change the result of the original set . And also, if the very own paradox that you invented that 'broke the world existed', how would you prove the very assumption that impossible + possible = impossible. So there is no way to reach the paradox .
Nothing just doesn't exist, so impossible just doesn't exist. If you add something non-existent to something existent, that doesn't make it non existent.
Also, by the same paradox it would be impossible for p equal to np, so I just lost a million dollars :(
ReplyDeleteYou can still win a million dollars :) http://www.claymath.org/millennium-problems/p-vs-np-problem
